This sucks, because I want a challenge, not a time sink. The game is fun, but suffers from the same thing that all the gran turismo games suffer from. My favorite part is the license exam, because the challenges are fixed, and you can't just upgrade your way past the race. There is also not enough structure to the game for my liking. It takes too long to play any of the advanced races. As you progress in the game, the races get longer and longer.
It really is stunning. This was one of the first PS2 game purchases for my 60GB PS3, with the PS3 upscaling graphics and in 1080i, this game looks phenomenal, I have GT5 prologue, and in the replay mode at some tracks, its difficult to discern the difference between the 2 games, GT4 still looks soo good, for a 2004 game. When GT5 is released, I am sure it will have a longevity similar to this timeless title.5/5, one of the best games I have ever played.certified car nut :p I only hope GT5 retains a lot of the 'classic' 80s and 90s race cars that graced this game, one can only hope. I am at a point in the game, where its getting frustrating to win some of the harder races, but that does not take the fun away from this game, I still enjoy taking out a high powered Le Mans racer and going to Motegi Twin ring road circuit where it has a dawn/dusk sequence and watch the race cars run around the track with headlights blazing. Again, in replay mode, its hard pressed to tell the difference between TV coverage of a race, and the game.
i bought this for my grandson and he said it was a really good game,so according to him everyone should try it.
The seller shipped the game faster than expected, it came in perfect condition, was sealed, and the game itself is the best.
HANG ON. USE A STEERING WHEEL WITH FOOT PEDELS FOR THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE. SIGNED, VIDEO GAME KID. WHAT A GREAT GAME, IT IS TO REAL. GRAPHICS ARE OUT OF SIGHT.
